What is the difference between direct-to-show and advance warehouse shipping?
Direct-to-show means your freight arrives at the venue during the official move-in window — typically 1–3 days before the show opens. Advance warehouse shipping sends your freight to the show's designated warehouse days or weeks before, which is then delivered to your booth by show contractors. Advance warehouse can reduce last-minute stress but adds material handling fees from the venue.
What happens if my freight misses the advance warehouse deadline?
Late freight to the advance warehouse gets charged late fees by the show contractor and may not make it to your booth before the show opens. If you are cutting it close, we will recommend going direct-to-show instead — we would rather get your freight there on time than save a few dollars on the rate.
Can Route 89 handle multiple shows in different cities back to back?
Yes — multi-city trade show tours are something we plan carefully. We coordinate outbound pickup from one show and delivery timing for the next so your exhibit moves efficiently between events.
Who handles the material handling at the show venue?
Material handling (moving freight from the dock to your booth on the show floor) is controlled by the show's general contractor — not the freight carrier. Those fees are set by the venue and are separate from your shipping cost. We handle getting your freight to the venue; the show contractor handles the floor.
